Northwest Referrals was set up in 2008 to accommodate MRI scanning for Dogs, Cats & Small Animals in the local Wigan area. In 2010 we extended this service to the entire north west area. We added CT scanning to our facilities in October 2017 and we have now added orthopaedic surgery, Neurosurgery, sort tissue surgery, endoscopy and ultrasound.
Our Northwest veterinary specialists offer MRI and CT scanning for Pet referrals and out-patient services to vets and the public. Please feel free to look around our website and see what we can offer you, your clients and your patients. If you have any questions or need any help then feel free to contact us.
We were here today to do a MRI scan on our dogs brain after receiving ridiculously expensive quotes around the Newcastle area. The 3 hour drive was totally worth it. Not only were they a third cheaper, our assigned vet Fiammetta Baccetti was also very professional, explained everything in detail and happily answered all our questions regarding the procedure and epilepsy in general. We felt in good hands and we could see that she likes what she does. We also spoke to the owner James, first on the phone and after in person. There was a miscommunication with the price and he directly sorted it out to our advantage. Our dog was well looked after and the results were explained immediately after the scan. The scans now have to be sent to a neurologist to give a final result. The only downside was not being able to be in the waking up room with our dog afterwards, but we understand that this is not common practice. All in all this was a pleasant experience, definitely would recommend this place. Thanks to Fiammetta and James and all the staff for taking care of our dog!
ur dog kyro had major surgery on his spine 16th July 2018 he had complications and had another surgery 2 days later the team at anrich were fantastic especially James, tom and Catherine I cannot thank them enough over kyros second operation they will know what I mean on reading this it was worth the 2 hour drive from Birmingham twice may I add and the cost was a lot lower than what we would have had to pay in Birmingham infact we wouldn’t have been able to afford it at all in Birmingham but thanks to these guys kyro is now on the mend and walking he still has a way to go but if it wasn’t for these special people he might not have been walking much longer so thank you you so so much for what you did for him and I’m sure if he could thank you he would our best wishes to everyone at anrich kyros nanny Lisa xxxx
We travelled from Birmingham with our labrador, Sheba, after also being given a ridiculous quote locally. I spoke on the phone with James over a Bank Holiday weekend prior to making the appointment and he could not have been more helpful. He attempted on our behalf to deal directly with Animal 'Friends ' insurance who unfairly rejected our claim. I suggest that true animal lovers avoid them at all costs. Back to NW MRI, we arrived 30 minutes early and were seen straight away. Sheba was treated very well, as were we. The bill was exactly what we had been quoted, £960 for 2 CT scans, compared to £1800 to £2000 for just 1 scan here in the midlands. Sheba tolerated the anaesthetic very well, far better than when she had one a month ago in Birmingham for an x-ray. Perhaps NWMRI use something different? Although the results were very worrying to us, we cannot recommend NWMRI highly enough. Many thanks to James and the team. Phil & Cathy Hughes.
Bought my dog here for an MRI scan. Everyone was helpful, friendly and professional. The team here made the job of bringing Wilson in incredibly easy. Would highly recommend!
