About me

Dimitar earned his Master's degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Forestry in Sofia, Bulgaria. After gaining valuable experience in general practice, he relocated to the UK to further his surgical expertise.

In 2019, Dimitar completed a Certificate in Small Animal Surgery, and in 2023, he achieved recognition as an RCVS Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Surgery. Following several years in general practice honing his surgical skills, he joined the Northwest Referrals team in 2023.

Dimitar is passionate about all facets of surgery, with particular interests in orthopedics, trauma, and neurosurgery. He believes a good soundtrack enhances any surgical procedure, ensuring a lively atmosphere in the operating theatre.

Outside of work, Dimitar enjoys spending quality time with his two young daughters and his Airedale Terrier, Jessie. He is an advocate for a healthy lifestyle, with a personal fondness for running and calisthenics.
